About Beth Cox

I lived with stubborn back pain for over 20 years. I tried physio, osteopathy, acupuncture and yoga, and while they gave some short-term relief, I stayed stuck in the same cycle. I couldn't trust my body. I wanted to walk, dance and enjoy life without the fear of paying for it the next day.

Restore Your Core® was different. For the first time, I understood how my movement patterns were feeding my pain, and how I could start to shift them. My body had spent years compensating, bracing and overworking to feel stable. RYC® helped me find real support and strength I didn't think was possible. Now, in my 50s, I feel more resilient and capable than I did in my 20s.

That's what I bring to my teaching. I know what it's like to live with pain, and what it takes to start moving again when you've lost trust in your body. I don't teach from a place of fixing people. I teach from a place of exploring together, noticing what's going on in your body and finding new ways to support it.

I've been a yoga therapist since 2010, and a chronic pain specialist since 2020, leading pain management programmes for the NHS and Swansea University. I'm a certified RYC® teacher, and I keep building my knowledge, including specialist training in hypermobility.

Many of the women I work with are hypermobile. They're told they should be exercising, but most classes leave them feeling worse, less stable and in more pain. I'm not hypermobile myself, but I know what it's like to live in a body that grips and braces to hold itself together. RYC® offers a different way, noticing where you're gripping, where you need support, and building strength that feels steady rather than rigid. I've seen it help so many hypermobile women feel more stable, confident and at home in their bodies.

I teach in Swansea, in person and online, with group classes and one-to-one sessions. I also run Core Support - Movement & Connection, a small group for women living with hypermobility and persistent pain, because connection matters as much as movement.

I aim to help you find new ways to move, breathe and relate to your body, so you can feel strong, safe and more like yourself again.
